New Views is the National Theatre’s Playwriting Programme for 15-19 year olds

New Views runs in schools across the UK and is an opportunity for young people to develop their understanding of theatre from another perspective, learn about playwriting from some of the best in the business and the different ways that theatre can be used as a tool to discuss what matters to them.

New Views also runs in theatres across the country.

We have groups meeting at the Bristol Old Vic, The Curve in Leicester and here at the National Theatre in London. These hub groups are for individual students looking to learn and develop their writing talents in weekly sessions with a professional director and playwright.

Each week the session focuses on a different part of creating a script, generating ideas and developing your voice as a writer through exercises, discussions and feedback.

The London Hub meets every Monday at the National Theatre.

Our first session is on Monday 3 November from 6pm-8pm.

If you are interested in attending any of the New Views Hubs in any of the theatres listed above, please contact lbate@nationaltheatre.org.uk with your name and age and why you are interested in this playwriting programme.
